Getting to Settings: From anywhere in Lexlegis, click your initials in the top-right corner of the screen. This opens a small menu with a few options.
Click Account Settings to open the full Settings page.
Under Two-factor authentication, click Enable 2FA. You'll set this up using a one-time code from an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or any compatible TOTP app. Once enabled, the status changes from "Not enabled" to active, and you'll be asked for a codealongside your usual sign-in going forward, adding an extra layer of protection to your account.
Setup is three quick steps, and your code refreshes every 30 seconds once it's connected:
Install an authenticator app on your phone. Any TOTP-compatible app works, Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator are both listed with direct Android/iOS links, so pick whichever you don't already have.
Scan the QR code with the app. Open your authenticator app, tap "Add account" → "Scan a QR code", and point your camera at the code shown on screen. Can't scan it? Tap "Enter setup key" in the app instead and type in the setup key shown below the QR code, along with your account name and the fact that it's Time-based (TOTP).
Enter the 6-digit code from the app. Once the account is added, your authenticator app displays a rotating 6-digit code, type it into the Authentication code field and click Verify & enable to finish setup.
