Reactive Drafting is used when you need to draft a response to an existing legal document, such as:
- Legal notices
- Petitions
- Agreements
- Regulatory communications
In this mode, you upload the document you are responding to, and Lexlegis.ai generates a structured response.
Step 1: Open the Draft Module
- Go to the Dashboard.
- Click Draft.
- Select Reactive Drafting.
This mode is specifically designed for drafting responses.
Step 2: Choose Basic or Advanced Mode
Reactive Drafting also provides two modes:
Basic Mode
- Shows only the required inputs.
- Includes:
- Uploading the document you are responding to
- Adding drafting instructions
Advanced Mode
- Includes additional inputs such as:
- Templates
- Reference files
- Clauses
- Additional prompts
Step 3: Upload the Document You Are Responding To
In Basic Mode, you must upload or select the document requiring a response.
- Open Select the document you are responding to.
- Choose the document from your Library.
This step is mandatory in Reactive Drafting because the AI must analyze the original document before drafting a response.
Step 4: Provide Drafting Instructions
Enter instructions describing the response you want to generate.
Example prompts:
- Draft a reply denying the allegations in the legal notice.
- Prepare a response to a breach of contract notice.
- Draft a reply to a regulatory communication.
These instructions guide how the response should be structured.
Step 5: Use Advanced Options (Optional)
Switch to Advanced Mode if you want additional control.
Advanced options allow you to:
- Apply a template
- Add supporting reference documents
- Include specific clauses
- Add detailed drafting instructions
Step 6: Generate the Draft
- Review the provided information.
- Click Next.
Lexlegis.ai will generate the response draft based on the uploaded document and instructions.
You can then review, edit, and export the document.
