Q: What file types does Interact support?
A: Interact works with common document formats such as PDF and Word (.docx), and text-based file types. If a file you've uploaded isn't accepted or won't process, try converting it to PDF or Word first. For a few file types, the inline citation preview can only show text and can't highlight or open a specific location within the file itself, so you'll need to open the source document directly to locate that passage.
Q: Why can't I select a document I just uploaded?
A: Newly uploaded documents need to finish indexing before Interact can use them. If a file's status still shows as processing rather than indexed, give it a moment and check back; once indexing completes, it becomes selectable.
Q: My answer seems to be missing something or isn't quite what I asked for. What can I do?
A: Use the follow-up box to ask Interact to expand on, clarify, or correct the specific part of the answer that's off, rather than starting a new conversation. You can also try rephrasing your original question, switching the Output type (Narrative, Tabular, or Bulleted), or adjusting the Scope if you were asking about multiple documents or questions at once.
Q: Can I trust the answer without checking the source documents myself?
A: Treat Interact's answer as a strong starting point, not a final word. Use the Citations tab or hover over inline reference numbers to check the exact wording each claim is based on before relying on it, especially for anything going into client-facing work.
Q: Where can I find a conversation I had earlier?
A: Every conversation is saved automatically. Open Recent conversations from the Interact landing page to pick up where you left off, including any follow-up questions you'd already asked.
Q: Why does the same question give different levels of detail depending on the format I pick?
A: Narrative, Tabular, and Bulleted don't just change the layout, they change how Interact organizes the same underlying analysis. If you feel a format is leaving something out, try switching to Narrative for the fullest written detail, then re-format as needed.
