Asking Natural Language Questions
You can simply type your question the way you'd ask a colleague, in plain English, describing what you want Interact to do with your documents.
Using the Prompt Library
Choose Prompt gives you two saved options instead of writing a question from scratch:
Prompt Library: A searchable list of pre-written prompts for common jobs, like drafting board minutes from rough notes, outlining a consumer complaint, or writing a client update email. Pick one and it fills the question box for you.
Question Sets: Ready-made bundles of related questions built around a specific task, such as a commercial lease review or a company compliance check, each with a set of questions to run together. These are useful for routine reviews where you'd otherwise have to think up the same questions every time.
Custom Prompts and Suggested Questions
Alongside the saved Prompt Library and Question Sets, you can always write your own custom prompt directly in the question box. If you're not sure what to ask, the starter prompts on the landing page act as suggested questions to get you going, and you can edit them freely once they're in the box rather than using them exactly as worded.
Choosing Response Formats
Click Output type to decide the shape of your answer:
- Narrative: A normal, flowing written answer.
- Tabular: The answer laid out as a table, good for comparing things side by side.
- Bulleted: The answer broken into a bullet list, good for quick scanning.
Organizing Multi-Document or Multi-Question Answers
Click Scope to decide how Interact handles things when you've asked multiple questions or uploaded multiple files:
- Combined: One single answer covering everything together.
- Per document: A separate answer for each file, useful when comparing several contracts and you want to keep them distinct.
Running Your Query
Once your question, attachments, output type, and scope are set, click Interact to run it. If you're not confident your question is phrased well, click Improve first and it will help sharpen it before you send it off.
