Q: My draft doesn't sound right, or misses the point of my brief. What can I do?
A: Try being more specific in your original description, naming the document type, key facts, and any provision you want addressed. Once the draft is generated, you can also select the relevant portion and use Improve, Expand, or Ask AI with a specific instruction to fix just that part, rather than redrafting from scratch.
Q: My firm's house-style template isn't showing up as an option. Why?
A: House-style templates need to be published under Library → Templates before they appear on the Draft landing page or under the From Library option. If you've just added one, give it a moment to be indexed.
Q: I tried to attach or use a file and it wasn't accepted. Why?
A: Draft works with common formats like PDF and Word. If a file won't upload or won't show as selectable under From this matter, it may still be indexing, or it may be a file type that isn't supported; try converting it to PDF or Word and re-uploading.
Q: I asked AI to rewrite a selection but I don't like the result. What are my options?
A: Use Try again to get another attempt at the same instruction, Discard to drop it and keep your original text, or Insert below if you'd rather keep both versions side by side and decide later. Nothing is finalized into your document until you specifically Accept a tracked change.
Q: Can I export my draft into a different format afterward?
A: Yes, use Download from the toolbar at the top of the editor to save the draft as a file in the format you need, such as Word or PDF, once you're done editing.
