Open the document you want to work with in MS Word. Go to the Ribbon and click Lexlegis AI add-in
The features screen will open up. Select the feature you want based on the task you want to accomplish

Summarise: Create brief and meaningful memos
- Select Summarise from the Features screen to get a summary (salient points) for any part of the document or for the whole document
- Choose an option - Selected text or Full document based on what needs summarising and click Summarise.
- The output will highlight the important and noteworthy points in the selected text or document and provide a summarised conclusion
Review: Check document for potential shortcomings
- Select Review from the Features screen to critically analyse your document for potential gaps and suggest improvements.
- Click Selected text or Full document based on what needs reviewing and click Review.
- If the full document is reviewed, the result includes Compliance Review, Risk Assessment, Cybersecurity Risk, Intellectual Property Review, Data Privacy and Security Review, and it also gives Suggestions for Improvement.
DocuChat: Get answers from within your document
- Select DocuChat from the Features screen to query your document for answers
- Lexlegis.ai will read the document for you to be able to answer your questions.
- Type your question in the Chat
- A chat-like interface with your question and the answer located by Lexlegis.ai in the document will appear on screen
DocuMap: Get a bird's eye view of the structure and contents of your agreements and contracts
- Select DocuMap from the Features screen to organise the content in your document into hierarchies, sub-sections and summaries. This helps navigate large documents with ease
- Choose an option - Selected text or Full document based on what you want mapped / organised and click Generate Map
- DocuMap tabulates the content, categorising it based on Section, Title/Topic and Summary. It organises the information present in large, complex documents into categorised, traceable items in tables, making it easier to navigate and absorb the information
Client Questionnaire: Automatically extract information to be filled by clients
- Select Client Questionnaire from the Features screen to extract areas from documents like MOUs, contracts, agreements which clients or third parties need to complete with their details. With this feature you can send them a list of questions which they can fill directly without having to peruse the entire document which could run into multiple pages
- Choose an option - Selected text or Full document based on which pages need scanning and extracting information to create a questionnaire for your client to read and fill. Click Generate Questions
- Lexlegis.ai generates a convenient Client Questionnaire comprising questions which the client needs to answer by entering required details.
Suggest: Get intelligent recommendations on how to draft your content
- Select Suggest from the Features screen to refine legal drafts with suggestions to ensure documents are clear and enforceable
- Choose Selected text and click Suggest
- The Suggest feature offers structural improvements, clause suggestions, and readability enhancements for the selected text. It generates alternatives with supporting explanations
Simplify: Convert complex matter to easily understandable text
- Select Simplify from the Features screen to break down legal jargon into clear, concise, and digestible points, making documents easy to comprehend even for a novice or non-lawyer
- Choose an option - Selected text or Full document based on what you want to simplify. Click Simplify Content
