Using Interact to Analyse Documents

Lexlegis.ai Interact allows you to analyse one or more documents together and extract structured insights, summaries, comparisons, and answers based entirely on the documents you select.

Use Interact to understand documents in context, compare clauses or versions, extract key information, or run multiple questions across the same set of files.

Before You Begin

Before starting an interaction, ensure that:

• The documents you want to analyse are uploaded and available in your Library
• You are clear whether documents should be analysed together or individually
• You know the type of output required, such as narrative or tabular

Only the documents selected during setup are used in the interaction.

1. Selecting Documents to Analyse

Start by selecting the documents you want to work with.

You can select:

• A single document
• Multiple documents from the same folder
• Documents across different folders

You may also upload new files directly from this screen.
Only the selected documents are included in the interaction.

2. Choosing Between Document Interact and Document Search

After selecting documents, choose how the system should work with them.

2.1 Document Interact

Select this option when the objective is to generate:

• Analysis, summaries, comparisons, or interpretations
• Answers that consider context across documents
• Structured legal or commercial insights

2.2 Document Search

Select this option when the objective is to:

• Locate specific information within documents
• Retrieve direct answers using keyword-style searching
• Perform faster lookups without contextual analysis

This selection determines the type of output the system generates.

3. Defining What to Extract

Specify what you want to extract from the selected documents.

You can choose from:

• Prompts - predefined instructions such as clause summaries, risk reviews, timelines, or comparisons
• Question Sets - groups of related questions answered together in a single run
• Custom instructions - you can provide your own prompt or list of questions

Only the selected prompts or questions are applied during the interaction.

4. Choosing a Document Interaction Mode

Decide how the selected documents should be treated.

4.1 Unified

All selected documents are read together as a single knowledge source.

This mode is suited for:

• Comparing multiple versions
• Analysing agreements together
• Drawing consolidated conclusions

4.2 Individual

Each document is analysed separately.

This mode is suited for:

• Generating document-specific outputs
• Comparing results side by side
• Maintaining separation between documents

5. Choosing an Answer Style

Select how results should be presented.

5.1 Narrative

A consolidated paragraph-style response.
This style is suited for legal analysis, explanations, and summaries.

5.2 Tabular

A structured table format.
This style is suited for comparisons, clause mapping, and structured reviews.

6. Starting the Interaction

Once all selections are complete, start the interaction.

Interact analyses only:

• The selected documents
• The chosen prompts or questions
• The defined interaction mode and answer style

7. When to Use Interact

Interact is suited for workflows such as:

• Analysing contracts, agreements, or policy documents
• Comparing versions of the same document
• Extracting structured insights from multiple files
• Running repeated questions across a consistent document set

8. What Happens Next

Once the interaction runs:

• Lexlegis generates analysis based on your selections
• Results are displayed in the Interact output
• You can review findings or continue with follow-up questions
